Keeping Pace with the Changing Military

The American Red Cross facilitates emergency communications services between United States Armed Forces members and their families. We have a world wide communication and verification  network that reaches military personnel wherever they are to communicate a birth, illnessor other emergencies.

Last year our chapter's emergency communications services were able to provide for 730 military families and an additional 4,144 military familes received vital information through our Get To Know Us Before You Need Us program.

Information and Referral Services

The American Red Cross offers confidential services to all military personnel- active duty, National Guard and Reserves- and their families. Counseling, guidance, information, referrals and other social services are available in your community through our worldwide network of chapters and offices on military installations.

For assistance throughout the US call  1-877-272-7337 ( for everyone-toll free number)

When calling the Red Cross, please provide as much of the following information about the service member as is known:

                 Full Name
                 Rank/rating
                 Branch of service (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard)
                 Social Security Account number or date of birth
                 Military address
                
Information about the deployed unit and home base unit (for deployed service members only)
